SCOT IN CONTENTION AT CASABLANCA


PAUL DOHERTY TWO SHOTS OFF LEAD

WITH ROUND TO GO AT CASABLANCA

Cardiff-based former Scottish boys match-play champion Paul Doherty is joint third, two shots off the lead, with one round to go in the MENA Tour's opening 2014 tournament, the Royal Golf d'Anfa Open at Casablanca, Morocco.
Dohery should a second-round 70 for a two-round tally of five-under-par 139.
The only men ahead of him are English leader Joshua White on seven-under 137 (66-71) and Morocco's Faycal Serghini on 138 (73-65).
Doherty's four compatriots in the field had mixed fortunes.
Clarke Lutton (70 for 142) and Conor O'Neil (75 for 151) made the cut in joint 11th and 50th positions respectively.
But Fraser McKenna (81 for 153) and Ted Innes Kerr (77 for 154) missed the cut.
