GECKO TOUR GIVES MOTHERWELL MAN FIRST SHOW OF 2014

EAGLE HELPS ROSS KELLETT TO TOP

12  FINISH IN SPAIN

An eagle 3 at the 16th - his only sub-par figure in a final round of one-over 73, helped Motherwell's Ross Kellett (Aberdeen Asset
Management) to finish joint 12th in the Spanish Gecko Tour 36-hole competition at San Roque Golf Club at the southern end of Spain's Costa del Sol.
Making his first competitive appearance of the year, Kellett had rounds of 74 and 73 for three-over-par 147 - eight shots behind the English winner of the 2,000 Euros first prize, Jason Kelly (Wentworth) with rounds of 66 and 73 for five-under 139.
John Henry (Clydebank and District) shot 71-77 for 148 and a share of 17th place.
Henry had a horrific run of bogey-double bogey-bogey over the sixth, seventh and eighth in an outward half of 40 on his final circuit. He did
birdie the 10th, 16th and 17th but bogeys at the 11th, 13th, 14th and18th cancelled them out.
