GLASGOW WIN SENIORS' INTER-AREA TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP

 Glasgow won the Scottish Seniors Golfing Society's annual inter-area team championship at Murcar Links.
They had a best five-from-six gross team total of 383 - three shots ahead of runners-up Angus with Stirlingshire (392) third, North-east (394) fourth and Fife (396) fifth in a field of 11 areas.
Players in the winning Glasgow team were Angus Lamond (Glasgow GC), John McDonald (Cowglen), Ian Gillan (Bishopbriggs), Stuart Black (Cathcart Castle), Graeme Cox (Pollok) and George Crawford (Williamwood).
The best individual round of 74 was achieved by Stuart Black for the Glasgow team and also by Ian Jeen (St Andrews New) for Fife.
