ROOKIE PRO CONOR O'NEIL BEST SCOT IN DUBAI CREEK OPEN FIRST ROUND

Conor O'Neil (Pollok) and Balmore's Fraser McKenna are making their debuts as professionals in the first event of the MENA Tour this week.
O'Neil, pictured, fared best of the bunch of Scots playing in the Dubai Creek Open today (Monday). He shot a level par 72 to be joint 16th, five shots behind the Australian pacemaker, Trevor Marshall.
McKenna and Mortonhall's Greg Nicolson are sharing 28th place on 74.
Clarke Lutton had a 76, Tom Buchanan and Ross Bain 77s, while Ted Innes Ker and Graeme Stewart are on the 80 mark.
