STIRLINGSHIRE BEAT YOUNG DUNBARTONSHIRE TEAM

Dunbartonshire  were beaten 5-3 in their first match of the West of Scotland league by Stirlingshire in a close encounter at Dullatur.
A young and inexperienced Dunbartonshire team, several playing for the first time for the A team, managed to take four of the games to the last green only to lose out by the one hole.

Alan Colsh (Bearsden) lost to Eric Gall (Falkirk Tryst) 1 hole.
Chris McLean (Clydebank and Dist) bt David Buchanan (Falkirk Tryst) 6 and 4.
Paul Semple (Bearsden) lost to Gary Shepherd (Glenbervie) 1 hole.
Gavin Gough (Bearsden) bt Chris Lawton (Falkirk Tryst) 4 and 3.
Greg Halkett (Kirkintilloch) lost to Mark Hislop (Glenbervie) 1 hole.
