DAVID LAW LOSES POLISH OVER LAST ROUND
David Law, joint leader after 36 holes, slumped to a closing round of three-over-par 75 and a final placing of joint fifth in the German PGA's Polish Masters at Toya Golf and Country Club, Wroclaw.
Law had looked in tip-top form with his first and second rounds of 67 and 66 over the par-72 course but the 22-year-old Aberdonian lost his touch dramatically on the final day.
He bogeyed the first, third, eighth and 12th with a solitary bogey, at the long second, to compensate and halves of 38-37 were easily his worst of the tournament. Law, winner of the Paul Lawrie Invitational at Deeside before he arrived in Poland tied for fifth place with England's Darren Wright on eight-under-par 208, one stroke behind the four players who tied for first place - Germany's Max Glauert and Philip Mejou, Fernand Osther of the Netherlands and France's David Antonelli.
