GAVIN PETRIE OF FORFAR WINS ANGUS BOYS STROKE-PLAY
ANGUS COUNTY BOYS STOKEPLAY CHAMPIONSHIP, MONTROSE BROOMFIELD/MEDAL 5/8/13
The
Angus County boys strokeplay championship was won yesterday by Gavin
Petrie of Forfar with rounds of 63 (Broomfield) and 76 (Medal) for a
score of 139.
Gavin was the youngest ever Angus county boys matchplay winner
in 2011, and he has also won the Forfar men's title this year.
He won his latest title by two strokes from Ross Dallas (Kirriemuir) 65 and 76 for 141 and Findlay Soutar
(Montrose) 65 and 76, also for 141.
The under14s was won by Ewan Wheat Montrose with
74/87 for 161. CSS for both courses on the day was 62/72.
