STANDARD LIFE LEVEN GOLD MEDAL TEE TIMES FOR SATURDAY

New Scottish amateur champion Alexander Culverwell (Dunbar) heads the usual strong field of leading players for this week's Standard Life LevGold Medal tournament, an SGU 72-hole Order of Merit event over the Leven Links in Fife.
There are previous Gold Medal winners and players who have gone close to victory in this field but Culverwell is not one of them. Now that he has made a major breakthrough on the national front by beating James White (Lundin) in the "Scottish" 36-hole final at Blairgowrie earlier this month, however, look for Culverwell to brimming over with confidence, ready to play like the champion he has proved himself to be.
The leading 40 and ties after Saturday's 36 holes will go forward to the final two rounds on Sunday.
