ANGUS UNDER=14 BOYS RALLY FOR HALVED MATCH WITH LOTHIANS
For
the second time in ten days an Angus boys team managed to hold a very
strong Lothians team to a square match over the Ashludie course at Monifieth Links.
This time it was the turn of the
under 14s. Trailing by 2-1 after the morning foursomes, the Angus boys
rallied to take the singles by 3.5-2.5.
Notable performances from Brodie
Good and Ross Callan from the Lothians team and Aidan Smith from Angus
who were well under par in winning their singles, Harry George from
Angus who birdied the last two holes to gain a square game and Charlie
Walls of Angus who rolled in a match-winning birdie putt from from 20
feet on the 18th in the final
match to gain a halved match for Angus.
