TOP SEED BEATEN IN FIRST ROUND OF LOTHIANS' BOYS' CHAMPIONSHIP

Murray Naysmith (Marriott Dalmahoy), the leading qualifier for the match-play stages of the Lothians' boys championship , was beaten in his first-round tie by Murray Paterson (Bruntsfield Links) at the Braids last night.
Paterson won by one hole.

Willem Kerr (Craigielaw) bt Jack Valentine (Musselburgh) 3 and 1.
Alexander Wilson (Renaissance) bt Andrew Ni (Murrayfield) 6 and 5.
Joe Bryce (Bathgate) bt Leigh Lawson (Turnhouse) 3 and 1.
Rory Smith (Marriott Dalmahoy) bt Mark Napier (Dundas Parks) 3 and 2.
Lewis Bain (Musselburgh) bt Ross Millar (Whitekirk) 2 and 1.
Chris Curran (Harburn) bt Josh Cullerton (Carrickvale) at 19th.
Calum Hill (Tantallon) bt Rob Paterson (Kilspindie) 6 and 4.
