BOB MACINTYRE WINS ARGYLL AND BUTE MEN'S MATCH-PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP
Bob MacIntyre of Glencruitten has tightened his grip on
the area's trophies by winning the Argyll and Bute match-play
championship at Machrihanish.
MacIntyre is now in possession of all the scratch trophies available to him, ranging from boys' Under-16 right through to the men’s stroke-play and matchplay titles.

His win was even more remarkable in that he
has only just returned from a fractured elbow and this was his first
tournament of the year after having to withdraw
from the Scottish boys championship at Monifieth and also the Scottish champion of champions
tournament at Leven.
MacIntyre's 6 and 5 victory in the final over Bobby Willan of the host club capped a fine performance to continue his dominance of Argyll and Bute amateur golf.
