WOODEN SPOON FOR SCOTS SENIORS



Scotland finished last of four in the Senior Men's Home Internationals at Southerdown Golf Club, South Wales.
The Scots, who had earlier lost 6-3 to England and gone down 5-4 to Ireland finished their programme with a 5-4 defeat by Wales.
England broke Ireland's stranglehold on the over-55s title by beating them 6-3 in the deciding match between the two teams with 100 per cent recores after two days' play.
Results:
Day 1 - Ireland 7.5, Wales 1.5; England 6, Scotland 3.
Day 2 - England 6, Wales 3; Ireland 5, Scotland 4.
Day 3 - England 6, Ireland 3; Wales 5, Scotland 4.
