SCOTS SENIOR MEN LEAD IN PORTUGAL

Scotland have made an excellent start to the European senior men's amateur team golf championship at Estoril, Portugal.
They are leading at the end of the first qualifying round, spearheaded by a 66 from former shinty star John Fraser (Royal Burgess).

Meanwhile, the Scotland squad competing in the European senior women's team championship at Lugano, Switzerland are lying 11th at the end of the first qualifying round.
They have a total of 408, some 30 strokes behind joint leaders England and France.
