EDZELL PAIR ON LEADER'S HEELS IN SCOTTISH SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP

Sunningdale's John Baldwin has a one-stroke lead from a pair of Edzell Golf Club members, James Watt and James Bruce, at the end of the first round of the Scottish senior men's open amateur stroke-play championship at Luffness New Golf club in the Lothians.
Baldwin shot a level par 70, highlighted by a strong finish which saw the Englishman birdie the 12th, 15th and 18th.
Clubmates Watt and Bruce both hit the 71 mark but missed the chance to end the day sharing the lead.Watt bogeyed the 17th and 18th while Bruce, who had a hole in one at the third, bogeyed the 18th.
