BARRIE EDMOND REGAINS ABERDEEN LINKS CHAMPIONSHIP

Barrie Edmond, the 2010 champion, beat Bon Accord clubmate Matty Greig by 3 and 2 in the rescheduled final of the Aberdeen Links championship.
Rescheduled from last Friday when the course was flooded, the conditions were only marginally better.
Greig lost a ball off the tee at the 13th, extending Edmond's lead to three holes - possibly the clinching moment of the final. Greig won back the 14th but a birdie by Edmond at the next restored his three-hole advantage.
Greig, 32, was making his first appearance in the final. Edmond, 34, was roughly level par at the finish, which represented very good golf in conditions which were very wet overhead and also underfoot.
