Renfrewshire beat Lanarkshire in West of Scotland Boys' League

Lanarkshire Boys lost 5-3 to Renfrewshire Boys in a West of Scotland League match at Caldwell Golf Club on Sunday.
Results:
Fraser Kane (Cambuslang) bt Alastair McNaughton (Caldwell) 1 hole.
David Cleland (Hamilton) bt Kyle Turner (Cochrane Castle) 2 and 1.
Jay Hainie (Hamilton) lost to Ross Robertson (Old Ranfurly) 1 hole.
Sam Campbell (Cambuslang) halved with Colin Edgar (Cochrane Castle).
Ciaran Farrell (Wishaw) halved with Alistair Kyle (East Renfrewshire).
Dominic Dougan (Colville Park) lost to Stephen Wilson (Greenock Whinhill) 1 hole.
Craig Boyd (Lanark) lost to Martin McCorkell (Gleddoch) 4 and 2.
Calum Harrison (Carluke) lost to Paul Reilly (Lochwinnoch) 1 hole.

The start of the school Summer Holidays begins a bonanza of boys' opens in Lanarkshire.
On Monday, July 2 there is a 36 hole open at Kirkhill and an 18 hole open at Hamilton.
On Tuesday, July 3 there is another 36-hole open at Strathaven and on Wednesday, July 4 there is an 18-hole Open at Crow Wood.
On Friday, July 6 it is the Burgh Cup Boys' Open at Wishaw over 18 holes. There are also boys' opens at Bothwell Castle on July 12 and at Carnwath on July 16.
All boys under the age of 18 on January 1, 2012 and with handicaps up to 24 are eligible to play. To enter, phone the secretaries of the relevant golf clubs.
