TWO SCOTTISH LINKS RANKED IN WORLD TOP TEN

Two Scottish links – St Andrews’ Old Course and Muirfield – figure in the top 10 of the American Golf Magazine’s biennial ranking of the world’s golf courses.
Another three – Royal Dornoch, Turnberry Ailsa and Carnoustie – are listed in the publication’s top 21.

Golf Magazine’s top 10 in the opinion of a panel of experts, representing views across the golf spectrum, are:
1 Pine Valley (New Jersey).
2 Cypress Point (California).
3 Augusta National (Georgia).
4 St Andrews’ Old (Scotland)
5 Royal Co Down (N Ireland)
6 Shinnecock Hills (New York).
7 Pebble Beach (California).
8 Oakmont (Pennsylvania).
9 Muirfield (Scotland).
10 Merion (Pennsylvania).
