EDEN TROPHY RESULTS FROM ST ANDREWS

Canadian top seed Gordon McGarva fell at the first match-play hurdle of the Eden Trophy tournament at St Andrews today (Wed).

McGarva lost by one hole to the last of the 64 qualifiers, Russell McNamara (The Vale).

No 2 seed Allister Raphael (Littlestone) had to go to the 18^th in his first-round match before he beat James Charlton (Rushcliffe) by two holes.
