Sandy Pirie, now 68, yesterday won the Hazlehead Golf Club championship for an eighth time. He beat A K MacGregor at the 20th hole in the final.
It is 53 years (1957) since Sandy first won the title as a 15-year-old.
Last week, Pirie won the Scottish Super Seniors championship at the second hole of a play-off against another past Walker Cup player, Scott MacDonald (Dunfermline).
Results of other Hazlehead club championship finals:
Ladies Scratch -  Claire Prouse bt from Sheila Queen 5 and 4.

+Is Sandy Pirie's longevity as a club champion - 53 years since the first one - a record of its kind? If you know of any other senior golfer, male or female, who can rival that, E-mail the information to Colin@scottishgolfview.com
