David Patrick wins £2,835 top prize at Deer Park Masters

David Patrick landed the £2,835 top prize in the Tartan Tour's inbuild Deer Park Masters last night.
The former European Challenge Tour champion closed with a four-under 68 for an 11-under 133 and won by a stroke from the 2008 Tartan Tour's No?1 player Chris Doak.
Leading by a shot at the halfway stage, Patrick began his final round spectacularly with an eagle two on the first and he made further gains at three, four, seven and nine to charge to the turn in six-under.
The Elie pro slipped up on the run-in and dropped shots at the 13th and 18th but he still held on for a narrow victory.
Former European Tour player Doak highlighted his final round 67 with an eagle at the eighth as he banked the £2268 runners-up prize on 134.
