Dear and Hume make Madrid cut with ease

Perthshire pair Steven Hume and Gavin Dear from Murrayshall survived the 36-hole cut with ease in this week's Alps Tour event at Club Campo de Villa, Madrid.
Joint 21st, they made the one-under-par mark of 141 - three shots inside the limit.
Hume had rounds of 69 and 72. He almost cancelled out a triple bogey 7 at the eighth with an eagle 3 at the 14th.
Dear had a bogey at the first and a bogey at the 17th but in between these blemishes the former Walker Cup man was brilliant. He covered nine holes in five under par with birdies at the fourth, sixth, seventh, 11th and 12th.
