PATRICK AND KERR SHARE NEWMACHAR

PRO-AM VICTORY ON ONE-UNDER 71

Elie’s David Patrick and Mark Kerr (Marriott Dalmahoy) earned £825 each in sharing victory on the one-under-par 71 mark in difficult, windy conditions for The Fairways shotgun pro-am over the Hawkshill course at Newmachar Golf Club today.
On fast greens, with a reading of 12,  Patrick birdied the fourth, seventh and 17th and dropped shots at the sixth and ninth in halves of 36 and 35.
Kerr birdied the second, eighth, 11th, 16th and 18th but hade four bogeys, at the fifth, sixth, 12th and 15th in halves of 36 and 35.
They finished a shot ahead of Robert Arnott (Bishopbriggs Golf Range) and Graham Fox (East Kilbride) who each earned £481.
Chris Doak, who tied for fifth place on 74, led the Noble Drilling Land Support Ltd amateur trio of George McAndrew (4), Sam Croft (18) and Derek Paterson (10) to victory in the team event with an 11-under-par net total of 133.
