O'Hanlon puts a smile on Irish eyes

FROM THE SPANISH Hi5 PRO TOUR WEBSITE
Paul O´Hanlon, representing Ireland, shot a superb closing round of 65 to steam up the leader board and secure victory in the the Hi5 Pro Tour Altorreal Winter series final event. The 65 consisted of an impressive bag of eight birdies, one bogey and nine pars.
Paul was so pleased to secure the win in such a manner. It was his was his lowest ever final 18 round score of his professional playing career to date .
Close behind, just one shot adrift, were Iceland’s Stefan Mar Stefansson and Spain’s Ignacio Sanchez Palencia who both fought hard to get their scores into the clubhouse at eight-under-par in order to force a play-off with Paul.
Elliott Saltman tried his best to make it a hat-trick of wins for the Saltman family Saltman with fine 66 on the final day. The Scot, the tournament winner last week, eventually finished a creditable joint fifth.
Low amateur this week was England’s Richard Carter and low Senior this week was once again Englands Gary Wolstenholme who also finished tied 8th against the main field.
Thanks go to all the team at Altorreal for making the tour once again so welcome and presenting its course in such fine playing conditions.
The Tour now takes a small “ time out ” but is in the process of securing venues for the coming season's schedule which all players will be notified of shortly .
