New tour launch is fogged off

The first round of the inaugural Xltec Pro Tour at Whitekirk Golf Club, near North Berwick today was abandoned due to thick fog.
Said Alan Tait, the founder of the new tour: "Threequarters of the field got started but it would have been impossible for them to get finished as the fog was at its thickest by lunchtime.
"The field (of 45 players) are now coming back tomorrow (Friday) for a one-day shoot-out with the same prize money over 18 holes."
