Knox joint 13th after first round at Southern Dunes
Inverness exile Russell Knox is lying joint 13th at the end of the first round in this week's NGA Hooters Tour Winter Series event at Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club, Haines City in Florida.
Knox, based in Florida since he attended Jacksonville University, shot a three-under-par 69 with birdies at the fifth, sixth, ninth and 12th, spoiled only with a last-hole bogey.
The Scot is four shots behind leader Brad Klapprott from Florida with a 65. He leads by two from Andrew Svoboda (New York), John Elliott (Rhode Island) and Ryan Brehm (Michigan).
