Bryan Innes wins Jaffray Cup

Former Scotland cap Bryan Innes (Murcar Links) won the North-east District match-play championship for the Jaffray Cup for a second time at Ballater last night.
He beat Adam Lindsay (Banchory), three times a winner on the US college circuit as a student at Iowan Wesleyan University, by 2 and 1 in the final.
Innes chipped in from 20 yards for a 2 at the fifth, which put him three up on the sixth tee.
Lindsay cut his deficit to one hole after 10 but Innes sank a long putt to go two up again at the 12th.
The Banchory player won the 15th to be only one down with three to play but after a half at the 16th, Innes clinched victory by winning the 17th.
