Kirkhill 1-2-3 in Lanarkshire boys' championship

LANARKSHIRE NEWS FROM WILLIE SHARPE
Craig Ross is the new Lanarkshire boys' champion. The 16-year-old junior fom Kirkhill shot rounds of 68 and 70 for a three-stroke win over clubmate Stuart Houston who scored 70 and 71.
Scott Costello made it a 1-2-3 finish for Kirkhill by scoring 72 and 70 (best 2nd round) for 142.
Scott Campbbelll of Wishaw was fourth, also on 142 (71-71)
Alan Welsh of Torrance House was fifth with 70 and 73 for 143.
Craig Ross also won the Spring Meeting at Carnwath earlier in the year.
The competition was played at Mount Ellen Golf Club and CSS was 67 in both rounds

125 Calum Connacher (Wishaw) 65 60.
127 John Gibson (Carnwath) 64 63.
130 Stuart McTaggart (Carnwath) 63 67.
132 Andrew Falder (Strathaven) 66 66

The top 16 scratch players qualified for the match-play which will be played in July at Cambuslang. The cut was 149
