Gavin Dear (Murrayshall) maintained his overnight lead in the Irish men's open amateur stroke-play championship by matching the Royal Dublin par of 72 in the third round for a 54-hole tally of two-over-par 218.
Irishman Nicky Grant (Knock) also hit the 72 mark to be on 219 alongside Wallace Booth (Comrie) who made up two shots on them both with a third-round 70 for 223.
