Lockhart wins Midland Alliance title

Ladybank Golf Club tour pro Alan Lockhart is the new Midland Golfers Alliance champion. He won the title with a superb two-under-par total of 136 in the tournament sponsored by JTC Kitchens at Pitlochry Golf Club.
Conditions in the first round were rather driech but improved in the afternoon. Lockhart won by two shots from Carnoustie Links pro Lindsay Mann.
Alistair Mason (Thornton), who plays off seven, won the leading amateur award with a net total of 136.
