McNicoll improves by 10 shots to

be leading Scot in Jones Cup

Safe to say that the Ocean Forest Golf Club course at Sea Island, Georgia is the only winner so far in the Jones Cup Invitational event after 36 holes.
No one in the star-studded field of amateurs from America, the US college circuit and Europe is under par after two rounds.
American Morgan Hoffman has matched the testing par of 72 for the man-sized 7,321yd course - and his par aggregate of 144 is good enough to give him a one-shot lead from Cody Gribble and the first-round leader, Kyle Stanley.
Best of the British are England's Luke Goddard and Carnoustie's Keir McNicoll on the six-over 150 mark, the same score as the leading Continental, Jorge Campillo from Spain but currently based in America and playing the college circuit.
McNicoll improved by 10 shots with a second-round 70 which was the lowest score by anyone on the second day.
