Lornie v Wales, McGhee v McBain
in Paul Lawrie YP semi-finals

Tuesday morning's semi-finals in the Paul Lawrie Young Professionals' match-play championship at Newburgh-on-Ythan Golf Club will see Graeme Lornie (Kings Links) play Jamie Wales (Kings Acre) and James McGhee (Turnhouse) tackle Greg McBain (Royal Dornoch).
Semi-finalists are guaranteed £425 each while the winner of the final will earn £850 and the loser £630.
Lornie, who did well in the Gleneagles Scottish PGA championship recently, beat title-holder Stephen Lamb (Broomieknowe) 3 and 2 in the quarter-finals.

Greg Rankin (Stirling) bt Peter Mitchell (Hermitage) 2 holes.
Greg McBain (Royal Dornoch) bt David Laing (Craigielaw) 6 and 4.
Craig Matheson (Falkirk Tryst) bt Graham Fox (East Kilbride) 2 holes.

QUARTER-FINALS

Wales bt Barnard 1 hole.
McGhee bt Rankin 2 holes.
McBain bt Matheson 2 and 1.
