Latest on British boys' championship final

After going into lunch one down, Pedro Figeuiredo closed the deficit on Fraser McKenna on the first nine of the afternoon at the Boys Amateur Championship final at Little Aston.
Figueiredo’s nerves were tested on the first hole after lunch when he put his second just over the back of the green, and had to hole from five feet for a half, while McKenna two putted from 30 ft away for a matching par.
Both were down the middle off the tee at the second but Figueiredo was far too big with his shot to the green, ending up in a bush next to a boundary fence at the back. He took a penalty drop, chipped off a gravel track 20ft past and missed his putt, while McKenna two putted from just off the green for a winning par to go two up.
The long third was halved in birdies, McKenna holing from 12 ft after his first finished well short and Figueiredo doing the same from eight feet.
For the second time in the day McKenna drove the 317-yard fourth, finishing just right of the green. Figueiredo was in the front bunker and his shot out ran just off the back. McKenna’s first putt went 10ft past but he rolled it in for a wining birdie to go to three up for the second time in the match.
At the short fifth McKenna was over the back off the tee and couldn’t get up and down while his rival found the green and two putted for a winning par to cut the deficit to two.
Figueiredo looked to be in trouble at the sixth when he was in the trees down the left off the tee, but he hit a quite superb second shot five feet past the hole and sank it for a winning birdie.
McKenna stopped the rot at the seventh when he hit a great second out of deep rough just over the green and then chipped stone dead. Figueiredo, who was on in two, raced his first putt six feet by and missed the return to go back to two down.
McKenna hit his tee-shot at the eighth well left into the brambles under the trees, only got onto the fairway with his third shot and was at the back of the green in four. Figueiredo found a bunker off the tee but was on the green in three and two putted for a winning par to be just one behind.
Then at the short ninth he got back to all square when he chipped and putted for his par from just off the front of the green and McKenna failed to get up and down out of a greenside bunker.
