Celtic Pro Tour returns home for West Wales
Open on June 25-26

PRESS RELEASE
The Celtic Pro Tour returns to Wales next week for the third annual West Wales Open at Gower Golf Club.
Gower’s own Lee Lewis, fresh from a creditable sixth place in the tour’s Wexford Open in Ireland last week, plays his first pro event on his home course.
An impressive field also includes Matthew Griffiths (Oakdale), looking to continue his good form after a fine performance in the West Region PGA.
English visitors include James Corfield (Bearwood Lakes) and Spencer Vickery (The Kendleshire), while injury may prevent last year’s winner Alex Smith (Pyle and Kenfig) from defending his title.
“The West Wales Open has now become established as a regular feature of the tour,” said Celtic Pro Tour chief executive Rhydian Thomas. “Invariably it produces some superb golf, and last year’s event attracted the cameras from two television companies.”
The 36-hole, two-day event takes place at Gower Golf Club on June 25 and 26.
Players interested in entering should contact tour director Rhydian Thomas on 07861 686568 or event organiser Roger Maliphant on 07815 456689 or email rhyd@treorchy.fsbusiness.co.uk or info@teamsporttravel.co.uk to register.
