Scots down the field behind
left-hander Uzzell as he wins
Brabazon Trophy by four

England left-handed international Steven Uzzell won the English men's amateur stroke-play championship for the Brabazon Trophy by four strokes at Trevose, Cornwall today.
The rain-affected tournament was cut to three rounds with two rounds being played on the final day.
Uzzell, a Yorkshireman, equalled the course record of 64 in the second round for a 14-under-par tally of 130 and a three-shot lead into the third and final round.
With a closing 67 he was able to increase his final margin by one for his first major amateur title.
After two days of persistent rain on the north Cornish coast, sunshine and a testing breeze greeted the 61 surviving players today, conditions that brought a spate of low scoring.
Uzzell, out in the last match, carded an eagle and seven birdies in his 64, a round that was three better than the next best return.
Benjamin Hebert from France, the reigning European amateur champion, finished runner-up on 201 with closing rounds of 67 and 68.
Ulsterman Paul Cutler (Portstewart) and 16-year-old Tom Lewis from Hertfordshire finished joint third on 204.
Callum Macaulay (Tulliallan)finished the top Scot in joint 15th place on 210 after Sunday rounds of 71 and 68.
Gavin Dear (Murrayshall) had scores of 72 and 74 for joint 30th place on 214. Scott Henry finished joint 42nd on 218.
