James Byrne has an 81 in third
round of NCAA championship

Two suspensions of play for lightning meant that the third round of the NCAA Division 1 championship was not completed on Friday at the Kampen course in the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Kevin Chappell (UCLA) is the leader in the clubhouse and certain to still be ahead of the field when the fourth and final round begins after the third round is completed.
He has shot 69, 73 and 68 for a six-under-par tally of 210, which is great scoring over a course measuring the best part of 7,500yd.
Kevin leads by four shots from Kyle Stanley (Clemson) and Nick Taylor (Washington).
Banchory's James Byrne (Arizona State) did not had a good third day. He totted up an 81, obviously his worst of the three rounds so far. Ironically, James kept a double bogey off his card, which he was not able to do in rounds one and two, but he had only one birdie, at the 15th, in halves of 41 and 40.
Of the players who have completed three rouonds, James is sharing54th place on 233 with his scores of 78, 74 and 81.
