ELLIOT SALTMAN IN ASIAN DANGER ZONE

Craigielaw rookie pro Elliot Saltman is in danger of not joining his younger brother Lloyd in the Asian Tour's Final Qualifying School next week.
Lloyd was given exemption through to the Final test because of his outstanding amateur CV. No such luck for Elliot, who never played for Scotland before he turned pro earlier this year and has since been campaigning on the EuroPro Tour.
Elliot is in the field for the Stage 1 eliminator but was well down in joint 48th place after a 74 in today's first round at Borneo Golf & Country Club. Fellow Scot Jack Doherty was even worse placed - he had a 75 for a share of 60th place.
The best placed Scot - whose name is not familiar in this country - John McKenzie had a par 72 to be in joint 29th position.
