MONIFIETH AMATEUR WINS MIDLAND
ALLIANCE AT CHARLETON, FIFE

This week's Midland Golfers' Alliance - the Fraser Bros. (Tyres) Team competition at Charleton Golf Course in Fife, was won by one-handicap Monifieth amateur Martin Brown. He showed the professionals the way with with a superb, five-under-par 66.
Leading score in the handicap was returned by Robert Stewart (Tulliallan with a net score of 65 off two.
Winners of the team event, scoring 59, were assistant professional Craig Matheson (Falkirk Tryst), Ally Douglas (Caird Park) (12) and David Black (Dunfermline) (11).
