MURCAR LINKS NAMED GOLF COURSE OF THE YEAR BY GOLF TOURISM SCOTLAND

Murcar Links has been voted Golf Course of the Year in Golf Tourism Scotland’s annual awards. Now in their third year, the awards seek to highlight the best performers in Scottish golf tourism and are recognised as the key event in Scotland’s golf calendar.
This year’s event was held in the illustrious setting of the Fairmont St Andrews, and awards were presented to the best hotels, golf courses, golf secretariats, caddie masters, transport providers and Young Industry Persons. 250 people from golf related businesses across Scotland attended.
Murcar Links topped what is recognised as the premier accolade of the awards, beating off stiff competition from last year’s winner, Kingsbarns, as well as the three Open Championship venues of Carnoustie, Muirfield and the Andrews Old Course.
Steve Price, Club Captain at Murcar Links, collected the award from Gary Wilkinson, Chairman of GTS. Steve said later:
