JAMIESON AND DUNCAN ONLY SCOTS TO
BEAT THE CUT IN HOOTERS TOUR EVENT

Scott Jamieson from Glasgow and Turnberry's Gerard Duncan were the only two Scots to survive the 36-hole cut in the NGA Hooters Tour Winter Series event at StoneGate Golf Club at Solivita in Poinciana, Florida today.
Jamieson actually lost ground with a second-round 71, one under par, but two shots worse than his opening score. With a 36-hole tally of four-under-par 140 on this so competitive tour Scott dropped from joint 16th to joint 20th in a starting field of 127.
Jamieson was going well enough at three under par for the day after 10 holes with birdies at the third, fourth and 10th but he lost his way a bit with an inward half of 37 (for the second day in a row). He bogeyed the 12th, 13th and 17th with only a 2 at the short 15th to offset the damage.
Duncan birdied the seventh, 11th and 13th but had bogeys at the fourth and eighth to be in joint 35th place with one round to go at two-under-142, which was the cut mark.
Irishman Sean McTernan from Sligo beat the cut in joint 24th position after rounds of 70 and 71 for 141.
David Kirkpatrick, originally from Edinburgh but a long-time resident of Lakeland, Florida missed out with 72 and 75 for 147. Paul Cormack from Inchmarlo, Banchory had 75 and 74 for 149 and the unattached Chris McCalman failed to qualify with scores of 72 and 78 for 150.
Scott Jamieson is 12 shots behind the new leader, Jeff Corr from Florida. Jeff has scored 66 and 62 for 16-under-par 128.
He is four shots ahead of Robert MacWhinnie from Pittsburgh. He has had rounds of 68 and 64 for 132.
First prize is $12,000 but it's a tournament that costs $850 for non-members of the NGA Hooters Tour and $725 for members to enter.
