SCOTT SHARES THIRD PLACE IN
WEATHER-HIT HOOTERS'
TOUR EVENT AT AUGUSTA

Scott Jamieson didn't let the long wait put him off - he completed a first-round, four-under-par 68 to be joint third with seven other players in the weather-hit NGA Hooters Tour event, the Kandy Waters Memorial Classic at Goshen Plantation Golf Club, Augusta, Georgia.
The first day's play was suspended on Thursday round about 2.30pm and Scott was one of the players who was called in from the course and didn't get to go out again until early Friday morning local time.
Scott, pictured right, who spent four years in the Augusta neighbourhood as a golf scholarship student at Augusta State University, had birdies at the fourth, sixth, 11th, 13th and 18th. He had one bogey, at the 12th.
David Kirkpatrick, originally from Edinburgh and a former Scotland amateur cap who has lived at Lakeland, Florida for the past decade, finished the first round in joint 23rd place on 70.
Elgin exile Joel Hendry was back in a share of 96th place in a field of 168 after a 74.
Usually par or one under par is the cut-off point after 36 holes so Joel needs to shoot a 70 or less in the second round.
Augusta local Scott Brown leads with a 66 by one shot from Justin Walters.
LATEST NEWS: The bad weather was still hanging around Augusta, Georgia on Friday and the second round has still to be completed.
