LOFTUS WINS MONTROSE PRO-AM

Mark Loftus (Cowglen) scored his fourth win of the Tartan Tour season with a five-under-par round of 66 to earn the £1,025 top prize in Saturday's Montgrose Golf Links pro-am.
Loftus, had birdies at the third, fourth, seventh, 11th, 13th and 15th only one one bogey, at the 17th, in halves of 33.
He won by one shot from Murray Urquhart (Inverness) who received the runner-up award of £818 for a 68.
Kenny Hutton (Downfield) led the "Frosties Bhoys" amateur trio of Tom Frost (handicap 18), Tom Frost junior (18) and Kevin Turriff (8) to victory in the team event with a net, two-ball total of 18-under-par 124.
