ENGLAND NAME THREE FOR CHIBERTA GRAND PRIX
(which Duncan Stewart won last year)

Miles Mackman, winner of last month’s Lagonda Trophy, plus Gareth Evans and Luke Goddard will represent the English Golf Union in the annual Chiberta Grand Prix in Biarritz, France, from July 12 to 15.
Mackman, 21 from the Broome Manor club in Wiltshire, won the Lagonda at Gog Magog, Cambridge, by two shots with a 13 under par 267.
Evans, 27, from the Northcliffe club in Bradford, followed up his Yorkshire championship success by winning the English county champions' tournament at Woodhall Spa last August.
Goddard, 19, from the Hendon club in Middlesex, is also a member of the England under 21 squad. Last year he won several titles including the McEvoy Trophy, the Sir Henry Cooper Junior Masters, the South East Junior Championship and represented England in the European Boys Team Championships and the Boys Home Internationals. He also represented GB&I against the Continent of Europe in the Jacques Leglise Trophy.
Duncan Stewart from Grantown on Spey - weekend winner of the East of Scotland Open at Lundin links, won the Chiberta Grand Prix last year.
There is no indication from the Scottish Golf Union that it is sending any player or players to the prestigious tournament this year. But team announcements from the SGU tend to be on the day of the tournament concerned so there is still time yet.
