SCOTS TO FORE IN EUROPEAN SENIOR AMATEUR

CHAMPIONSHIPS AT VILAMOURA

Scots Donald McCart, Fiona De Vries and Fiona Anderson are well to the fore in their respective divisions of the European senior amateur championships at Vilamoura on the Algarve.

In the men's event over the Pinhal course, Norman Swenson from the United States is setting the pacfe onf 141. Donald McCart is in third place on 145 after rounds of 70 and 75.

In the women's even at the Old Course, Vilamoura, Fiona De Vries and Fiona Anderson are both on 153, three shots behind joint leaders Else Kalsted (Denmark) and Cecilia Mourgue D'Algue (France).
