ADAM HUNTER IS REPLACED
BY NEIL MARR
The Press and Journal reveals today that Paul Lawrie has split with coach Adam Hunter and replaced him with Meldrum House Golf Club head professional Neil Marr.
Paul Lawrie is quoted by the newspaper as saying:
"We have split and I have been working with Neil. Adam and I have worked together for nine years and we have had a phenomenal working relationship in that time but I just felt that I wanted and needed a different input.
"Telling Adam I wanted a change was one of the hardest things I have had to do as we are really good friends.
"Adam is an extremely good coach who has done a really good job for me and I will never forget the help he gave me at Carnoustie in 1999 when I won the Open. But I feel it is time for a different angle on things."
