MATTHEW CLARK IS NEW D M HALL SCOTTISH
MEN'S MID-AMATEUR CHAMPION

Matthew Clark from Kilmacolm is the new D M Hall Scottish men's mid-amateur champion. Matthew, who qualified for the match-play stages in fourth place, beat the No 10 qualifier, Steven Rennie (Airdrie) 3 and 2 in the 18-hole final at Duddingston Golf Club, Edinburgh today.
In the morning semi-finals, Clark had ousted the top seed and last year's beaten finalist, Terry Mathieson (Murcar Links) by 5 and 4 while Rennie beat the No 3 qualifier Steven Armstrong (Turnhouse) by one hole.
