LOTHIANS BOYS BEAT FIFE BOYS AT LIBERTON

FROM THE EDINBURGH EVENING NEWS WEBSITE

Lothians boys' team overcame the absence of four of their leading players to chalk up a 6½-3½ win over their Fife counterparts at Liberton in an annual friendly.
Neil Henderson, Paul Ferrier and Myles Cunningham - three of the players in the side that finished second in the recent Scottish boys' area team championship - were missing along with Mark Dickson.
But, showing the strength in depth in Lothians golf at this level, the home side still managed to record a comfortable victory.
