FAIRMONT ST ANDREWS SIGN UP SAM TORRANCE


Fairmont St Andrews (formerly St Andrews Bay Hotel & Golf Resort) today announced a partnership with 2002 victorious Ryder Cup captain, Sam Torrance, OBE.
Sam has represented Europe in eight Ryder Cup matches and has won over 40 tournaments to date in his 35 years on Tour. He has made a very successful transition onto the European Seniors Tour, winning the Order of Merit in 2005 and 2006. Sam won his first tournament of the year last week at the Bendinat London Seniors Masters.
His relationship with Fairmont St Andrews began several years ago when he worked with them on his first course design project, The Torrance, which opened in 2002. It is one of two beautiful courses on offer at the Fairmont St Andrews and Sam’s first foray into course design is considered a resounding success.

The five star Fairmont St Andrews is located just 55 minutes from Edinburgh airport, sitting proudly overlooking a rugged coastline and the skyline of the Home of Golf. A luxurious five star hotel with two magnificent golf courses, the Torrance and the Devlin. The Torrance an Open qualifying course for 2010.
