US OPEN CHAMPION OGILVY MISSES CUT BEFORE
HEADING OFF FOR OAKMONT TITLE DEFENCE

Colin Montgomery is in good company missing the cut in his last tournament before next week's US Open.
Australian Geoff Ogilvy, the defending champion at Oakmont, missed the cut by four shots in the Stanford St Jude championship at TPC Southwind on Friday.
Padraig Harrington also missed out, but only by one shot.
Aberdeen-born Australian Michael Sim is having a tough introduction to the US PGA Tour after graduating from the Nationwide Tour last season.
Michael was diagnosed as having a stress fracture in the lower spine towards the end of last year. He didn't play golf for four months after that during which time he had to embark on an exercise programme designed to build up the strength in his lower back muscles.
He played well in the Zurich Classic, his first event on the US PGA Tour a month or two ago but is still obviously feeling his way.
Michael missed the cut in the "St Jude" by a big margin with rounds of 80 and 76 for 156. He had a clutch of double bogeys in the first round.
The second round was not completed until Saturday morning after darkness halted play on Friday evenin.
