CATRIONA, MHAIRI JOINT 9TH AT HALFWAY STAGE
OF LPGA CHAMPIONSHIP
Catriona Matthew (pictured right) and Mhairi McKay are lying joint ninth on four-under-par 144 at the halfway stage of the McDonald's LPGA championship.
Both Scots have scored 71 and 69 to be four shots behind the Norwegian leader, Suzann Pettersen (69-67 for 136), who has a one shot advantage over Australian Karrie Webb (68-69).
Michelle Wie made the cut with nothing to spare on 147 with rounds of 73 and 74 but Janice Moodie is out of the tournament.
Janice followed up a 70 with a disaster-strewn 79 for 149 to miss the cut by two shots.
