WOLSTENHOLME LEADS BY TWO SHOTS
IN EURO MID-AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP

Title-holder Gary Wolstenholme (Kilworth Springs) will start Saturday's third and final round with a two-shot advantage in the European men's mid-amateur championship at the Domaine Imperial Golf Club course on the shores of Lake Geneva.
Wolstenholme, who will be 47 in August, shot a second-round 69 for a three-under-par tally of 141. His nearest challenger was Marc Mazur (Germany) who had a 67 for 143.
The minimum age requirement is 35 years, an example set by the European Golf Association which should be followed by all the governing bodies who run "mid-amateur" events with 25 years as the minimum age.
